Merry Christmas!

This is Mitzi, daughter of ElRay and Vicki Klingler. I was just looking through this blog for the first time. I can't believe how big the Klingler family is! I know my mom told everyone about our trip to Disneyland, so I thought I'd show a picture. Our family is growing... slowly, but it is growing.

With Christmas so near I'm reminded how important family is. I'm grateful to be part of such a great heritage; where our ancestors have given us the incredible gift of the gospel.

I love you all and from my family to yours, Merry Christmas!!!

Hello from Lyndell's family

Of course Lyndell is not writing this – but I’m sure you’re not surprised with that bit of information.

Life is going great for us here in Victor. We have reached the season in our lives that we are empty nesters. I never thought that day would really arrive but we are going to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Jan, so I guess the years have slipped by. Now we are officially classified in the older group of people in church. YUCK! But even with that we are truly enjoying our life together. But in reality we are still young as we do not have any grand children as of yet – what’s up with that!!
Lyndell is still working in Jackson – at least his work has not slowed down for him. He is staying busy with being the High Priest Group Leader plus he his on the district scouting.
I (Gloria) am staying busy with work also – the government has secured my job as they demand every one to do their taxes every year. So we will never be without work in our accounting office. Church callings really keeps a person busy – I am the Relief Society President again. You would think that I could get it right so they would stop asking me to do this position. This is my 3rd time around!!! So I have to buck up and just dig in and do it. One thing that is nice though – with Lyndell in the High Priest and me in the RS – we can actually talk about what is going on together.
Our children our spread out for now. Chad is still in the Coast Guard and is stationed in Cape Cod, MA. He has been there for 2 years already. He just got back from a tour on the Eagle Sail Ship and he went to France and Spain. He is married so that is the only draw back of that kind of a tour. But this has been a good thing for them and he does plan on life-ing it in the Coast Guard. We are going to go out to visit them in October. We are going to take Wade with us as he feels like it is terribly unfair if we don’t because while he was on his mission we took Mitch to Alaska to visit Chad – twice! And you know as parents we are all fair in every aspects of our parenting duties right !!! – Ha ha
Tricia and Toby live Spanish Fork, Utah. They have a house there so I am sure that that is where they will be for awhile. We don’t get to see them very often. But they are busy in life as everyone else is. Work, Work and more Work.
Wade is going to school and trying to figure out his degree for sure. I think he would love to be a professional student – but I told him he could not afford that. Right now he is interested in Psychology – he already analyses us all the time.
Mitch is still on his mission. He has been out for 13 months already. That time has flown by for us in one way and then drags in another way. He went out in the Brazil Fortelaza Mission but is now in the Brazil Terasina Mission. They created a new mission, so he thinks it pretty cool to serve a mission in one place for a year and another mission for his second year.
This is great – this will take place of any Christmas card writing in the future ( oh I don’t do that any way, what I can I say.) We love you all

Lyndell & Gloria

Please don't faint.

This is Vicki, ElRay's wife (I think). It is the first day of school at Kennedy Elementary in good old Rexburg. It is late, only the janitor and I are left in the building. I just cannot figure out how everyone else gets everything done by 3:30. Anyway, our news. As most of you know, ElRay had triple bipass surgery last February. He is almost back to his usual happy-go-lucky self thanks to insulin injections and a CPAP machine. Heidi and Noah and their 6 children are busy with everything being the parent of 6 children brings. Their oldest is almost 17 and a Jr. in High School!!!! Brandi is now working as NICU nurse at Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls. Jason, after years of running his own construction company, is making a career change. He is majoring in aviation at Utah Valley and flying in Boise. He wants to fly helicopters in Alaska so Nancy maybe someday he'll knock on your door. Nick and Mary have two little girls and still going to school. Tyler will graduate in December with a degree in data systems. Who knows where he will go next, perhaps China. He did take a fun trip to China between semesters. Mitzi is working and going to school. She has one more year before she has her degree and teaching certificate in History. Mindi is in school majoring in photography. Shaini is in school but still hasn't decided on a career. Mitzi and Tyler are both ordiance workers at the Rexburg temple and love it. Sometimes they get to work with Aunt Darlene, which is a real treat for them. Our entire family, thanks to a gift from Brandi, just returned from a 10 day California vacation. We spent 3 days traveling, 5 days at Disneyland, 1 day at the Beach, and are now working on recovering. We were quite the sight, all 20 of us, 4 strollers and 1 wheelchair for grandma...but did we ever have fun. It reminded me of all the fun times we had when the Klingler counsins are little and ElRay and I were young. What fun.

We love all of you so much.
Vicki

newest addition

Hi everyone!!

I am sherry Anderson, Daughter to Rock and Paula steel, and I would like to announce Bill and Myrna's newest great grandson! :D Shaun Cayden Anderson was born on the 24TH of June, at 6:46 PM. He weighed in at 6LBS 10 OZ, and is 21 inches long!

He had a late start (he was 2 days late..:D) , but now that he's here we are already seeing the joy he is!!

our baby boy giving his daddy a reassuring hand-hug.

this is Shaun Cory Anderson, my hubby and my sons namesake, and my oldest Nikoy Lynn, holding her baby brother, she has been such a big help with the baby. she LOVES to sit and hold him and she even helps us feed him!! what an amazing sister!!

this is daddy, and baby shaun being held by his other big sister Kaylee Jaynn, she is soooo happy to be a big sister, she's a big help too, she likes to help me make bottles, and she loves to get me a fresh diaper for the baby when he needs it!

and this is me, holding my baby boy for the first time, after he was born he went straight to the NICU (infant intensive care unit..) for about 3 hours, he was born with his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 3 times!! so he needed to go in for some testing, but in the end he passed everything and they decided he was good to go! it was a long wait, but when I finally got to hold him, it was well worth it!

we got him home Friday afternoon, and he has continued to be a joy ever since! he's so peaceful and calm, he doesn't mind the girls cooing over him, and he LOVES being held by daddy. whenever Cory enters the room baby Shaun turns his head and just waits for daddy to come pick him up!
we're so happy he's here and we cant wait to get back to the states to show him off to our family and friends! Cory has been in the US Air Force for 6 years, and now its time to move on. we have been living in Germany since January of 2007, and we'll be moving to San Antonio Texas for a new start, and hopefully everything will work out! we also have our own blog : http://www.euroanderson.blogspot.com/ if any ones interested. the address will be changing soon, since as of July 31st we wont be in Europe any more...anyways, thanks for listening!!

baby feet... I love baby feet!!!

Nancy Klingler Morrison Family News

We have had a crazy and fun summer so far! Dylan was in a circus camp and learned many different tricks and things that you see at the circus. This is a picture of him in his performance make up. And Colton just went out with Ken on his first halibut fishing trip the day after Fathers Day and caught himself a 120 lb halibut! It was bigger than him and he was quite excited! Ken said that he pulled it up all by himself. Not bad for only his 2nd halibut he has ever caught. I am exicted that the freezer is filling up with all this yummy fish! Myah, Quincy, and Dylan are in gymnastics and Colton has started with the Kodiak Island Drummers. So cool to watch. They have some performances on YouTube if you are interested. Just type in Kodiak Island Drummers and you should be able to pull them up. Any who's, we are enjoying a fantastic summer here in Kodiak with all the fishing, berries and wildflowers to pick, and our beach exploring. We would love to see anyone who has an adventurous itch to scratch!! ;) Hope you all have a wonderful summer!!!

A note from Debbie King

Hello...yes, you are right, I'm sure there's news out there! I want to hear everyone's news!

We got a new grandson. This is Tom & Sharilyn's new son, Payson Jacob.

Andrea & Andrew graduated from High School.
They both were in Disney's Beauty & The Beast & Andrew played the part of Beast. He got nominated from Seattle's 5th Avenue Theater judges as "best actor in a leading role" and got to perform a piece of one of his songs on their stage in front of 2,500 people. He did fantastic and as soon as I can get a link for you to hear it, (because it's on line) I'll post it here for you to view.

I hope everyone is enjoying nice weather and a nice summer.

Red Christine Book

Hello everyone! I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to purchase any more of the red "Christine Gertrude Walz Buckmiller Klingler" books. I'm wishing I had them for each of my children now. I tried the number listed inside the book and it says that it's been discontinued. Has anyone heard anything? Love you all! Kathy

Glen Morrell

Hey Klingler Family,

Did everyone see cousin Glen Morrell in the Church News lately? I was so proud of our famous cousin!! There is a picture of him presenting President Henry B. Eyring with an award from the Collegium Aesculapium, an association of LDS physicians.

You can find the article by googling: Church News. Then press on the "Archives" button and you will be directed to a calendar. Press on the "April 14th" button. Once there, scroll down until you see the article, "Sacred trust to heal physically, spiritually." Here you will be able to see Glen's picture and read the article!!

Thanks Glen for being such a great cousin!!!
We love you!
Kathy

So excited to see what everyone is up to!

Wow, how fun to have a family blog! I am so excited to see what everyone is up to now days and where life has taken you! This is Nancy Klingler Morrison. I am Val's daughter. I am married to Ken Morrison and we have 4 kiddos. Colton is our oldest and he is 10. Myah is second and she is turning 8 in two weeks. Dylan is next and he is 6. From the Bitters....
I am so excited! This was a great idea and I love you handy people that know how to set these things up! Thanks for the instructions, I think I can do this! It was so fun to see pictures of Uncle Bill's birthday party and to receive an email from LeAnn! Thanks! I'm so looking forward to being able to visit with all of you and send a happy hug.

We're doing great in Terreton. The grain is all planted and if we can get the snow to stop for a day or two we'll get planting the potatoes. We are loving our family and each stage of life is so fun. We have such wonderful memories of all our cousin times together! Wasn't it fun that Grandpa and Grandma and Elray and Vicki lived kiddy-corner from the park and we had so much fun over there! We have such a wonderful family heritage! Some of my most beloved history is a family reunion we had where dad pay tribute to his parents. He spoke so highly and with such love of grandpa and grandma and the kind of people that they are and the great examples in raising families. Dad said one time when he was little he went out to the garden and there was a big wheel barrow full of dirt and a big hole in the ground. He said, "It made sense to me that the dirt should go back in that hole," so he tipped the wheel barrow over and dumped the dirt back in the hole. Well, out came Grandpa all sputtering and coughing, he had been down there DIGGING that hole! But he said, "Dad didn't get mad. He just said, Dell, that's not a very good idea." and he said that Grandpa had a very even tempermant and always taught with love and understanding. That's the way I remember them too!

So great to keep in touch! I love you all dearly!!
XOXOX
Kathy

Great idea!

I think this is a wonderful idea to try and keep everyone connected. I've been connecting with cousins on Facebook but I think this is a great place to introduce ourselves again. I am Pam Klingler Rolfe, Val Klingler's daughter. I am married to Josh Rolfe and we are living in Layton, UT with our four kids - Connor (9), Emmalee (8), Andrew (7), and James (4). We also have a dog named Coda. He is a lab and is full of life. We are just doing every day stuff - Connor has been playing football, Emmalee is in competition dance, Andrew plays soccer, and James does whatever he isn't supposed to. :) Josh works in Salt Lake as a network administrator/web developer and is the Stake Executive Secretary for his church calling. He is also Andrew's soccer coach. I am at home with the kids and do a few things here and there to make a little extra "playing" money. I am the Relief Society President in our ward right now which keeps me especially busy, but it is fun. I hope to get to know the kids of the cousins here. I know my cousins, but would LOVE to hear what you are all up to; but after that, I don't really know anyone's kids. So introduce yourself to me here and hopefully we can all connect at the next big family reunion.

The "oldest" of the cousins

Hi to everyone.
I think this is an absolutely great idea. It seems that we were all so close and then the "grown up" life came along. I don't usually write much but I do like to check in and read. One suggestion, especially to the cousin's counsins. When you sign, let us know who your parents are. I know my cousins but then I get lost when it comes to their kids especially after they get married. Life is great and my memories are priceless. I love being a part of Klinglerville!!!! We still live in Victor and probably always will so if you are ever passing through on you way to or from Jackson turn West just north of Victor on the Cedron road and go 1 mile. We are on the left hand side of the road and you are welcome at our home any time!!
Love to you all,
LeRae Klingler Bagley

Uncle Bill's Dream

At Uncle Bill's 80th birthday party he asked me to dream with him for a minute. His dream was that there would be a place on the internet where the Klingler Family could be connected with one another. He felt that we don't know each other very well because we are scattered in so many directions and so busy in all the activities of our own families. He asked me to help find a way this could be done. I suggested the email, He said that didn't work for him and he wanted it to be just one spot where everyone could go on and not have to send something to each individual. Email would take to much time. Blog came to mind. I have never been on a blog and I don't know much about computers except it is a glorified typewriter. Debbie came up beside us and we talked about Uncle Bill's dream. I wanted to know if a blog was a possibility of a blog. We all agreed it would be the right thing to do. She said she was sure her family could get one set up for all of the Klingler Family to use. Soon after she returned home she sent me this email that I have sent to each of you, that tells you how to get on the Klingler Family Blog. I think this will be so much fun and what a great opportunity to stay in touch and share in the lives of all the Aunts, Uncles, and cousins that we will be sharing the eternities with because of the Temple Sealings we have all been blessed with. Thank you Uncle Bill for the great idea to use the computer to stay in touch and thanks Debbie for putting it all together and I thank the Lord for the inspiration to mention Blog to keep us connected. I Love you all and look forward to lots of pictures, family happenings, weddings, births, baptisms, joys, sorrows, thoughts and whatever else you can share. Lets work together and make this the best Blog ever seen. Thanks Debbie for using Klinglerville for our log in. For the Older Cousins I hope it is a reminder of the Great City we created as children while at Grandpa and Grandmas house. We were going to live together forever in this city. Maybe on this Blog we can recreate Klinglerville. Uncle Bill I hope this will make your dream come true. Love, LeAnn Bailey

Welcome to Klinglerville!

LeAnn had a great idea to make a family blog so here it is!! :) This will be a fun way to peek in on each other & see what's up! I hope you will all use it and enjoy it.

This photo is Mom with her brother Keith, Sister Carole and Dad.

It was wonderful to see those of you who came to Dad's 80th birthday party! Life doesn't allow such gatherings very often.
Perhaps this can fill in a void in some small way. I saw something cute today. It said "I love my computer because my friends live in it!" Ha ha! Well, since we can't live in a real Klinglerville, we can improvise & gather online.

Feel free to post photos &/or news from your family.
Happy 80th Birthday Dad!! :)
